They are both crap, any main that is higher speed will one shot them with 10th skill. Both are pretty useless imo, Ikkaku has better utility and dmg by far. He reduces enemy fury, and hits much harder.

If you have higher stones on main and 10th skill it doesn't matter who your partners are, you will one shot the enemy with your fury attack.
Even then, having much higher stones than your opponent, you could have lvl 12 stones on Renji and lvl 4 stones on Kenpachi and renji will outdmg him. Higher stones make partners not even matter, but as I said, a main with higher stones and speed, with 10th skill will one shot your partners 2nd round anyways.
Speed matters so much, look at it this way, there is a person on S10, who I'm 200k BP higher than, but they have 100% fury on 3 chars, I do not. Despite me having the supior partners and strength, because they can use 10th skill first, which will wipe out my supports no matter HOW strong my supports are, just due to the fact he gets to use 10th skill first and wipe my entire team out without me be able to counter just shows how important stones are, and it don't matter WHAT partners you got or how strong they are.

Assuming all things being equal, or relatively close; strategy appears:
Tosen's speed should be faster than your opponents main, should not be too hard if you gear him out that way with his innate bonus agility.
When Tosen is faster than your opponent's assaulters, then they're going to be in for quite the surprise when they can't 1hko your supports with 10th skill.
And when your supports don't die, life is good.
If you're not at the level where strategy matters because the difference in power is too great, PvE formation until you can.
But for those that are at that level, all characters are situational and can be countered.
Which is why SWP adds more strategy to the game where unexpected builds can still make PvP interesting.
