How Do I Use Evolution Fragments?

I've got these evolution fragments that have just been sitting in my bag and I don't know how to use them. It'd be cool if someone could tell me what they're for an how to use/apply them.

the partner must need the certain evolution piece, the blue ones require 5 pieces to be synth = 1 whole piece
