Want another opinion plz...
okay, so i've been a big fan of Isshin, but with his newest change (fix, whatever) I have lost a lot of my love for him... in pvp anyway... yama is good, and is same price in limited lease, however i'd still have to pay for isshin as pve is where the best goodies are at...Should i ride it out with Isshin and wait for his un nerf (Which i feel is about as likely as getting senbon on UBP)
or bite the bullet and look for someone better (shini kensei is who i'd look at first) man , i dropped from ussually second or sometimes first in ryoka, to 5th.... last 3-4 days i can finally beat my 2 nemisis, that they nerf Ishin, i dont care if it was written 30% , than they should fix it when the issue arose, just like when dark rukia was creating mad damage , for assaulters. That was fixed very quick. But 2 get back 2 your question , my answer is , ehh i dont freaking know, 2 depressed 2 give a honest answer ... :( replace him with Kensei You see, from my wave hit (another account lol) I went down 3 waves, from 63 to 60 in Ryoka, which is quite heavy in terms of damage
And in PVP, hell even worse! I went from being able to defeat 2 certain opponents 100% of the time, to now well, almost below 50%!
The change is insane, and has become fixed, so you should indeed take note and now compare Isshin by stats as such
As Bwg said, and excluding the factor of me dick-riding Kensei, you should definitely go for him, whether it's to replace Isshin for PVP or PVE, he's going to be your partner to help out better.
Also about his 'un-nerf', if anything that is most likely to happen, going back to his original way of how we was released like in CN, as CN also have it as 35% actual combo rate, so take note of that ^^ :) Yes and as Zento said, Kensei combo rate is 30% but a red partner with an AOE pvp ability. He does have a combo boost by 10%. He is slower than isshin so don't expect that to be an upgrade. kensei's biggest draw for me was the 100 fury gain, and his disarm/silence all thing

You don't need to worry about the defences
they made it weak for a reason; if his enemies were to ever somehow attack Kensei after coming out of an every round silence/disarm, then yeah, they're allowed to deal high damage to him, else it'd be unfair
that low Wisdom is there to stop him from being op, but now that he's been buffed in chances of Disarm + Silence, there is no need for defence workings as long as he's your fastest ^^ :) yea i noticed my dmg sucked real bad and im like wtf??!?! what was the change? so if I make the swap to kensei, I should swap zans too hua? running hyroin would slow him the fuck down a lot...
