Yeah what kosmik said on the gear is what I'd say too. 10% damage is way better than 4500 attack ...
Agreed.
10% Damage is a multiplier effect. Every source of damage you get from Evo, to Weapons, to mods, to Pets, to skill % all gets boosted by damage rate. It is drastically better then even 20k more attack, or whatever.
The only reason to ever not wear a full set of gear, is if you are immune stacking from 2 piece ( which works just like damage rate, but in reverse ).

Yeah, now the real question though is why does he have a single piece of cyclone gear? Lol I'd assume you'd normally have a full set of that one, and that you'd put it on your strongest assaulter for PvE.

Agreed. I did exactly that. I put it on my strongest assaulter. But as you all know, cyclone gear has extra pieces. I have an extra spirit sword and an extra rune weapon. I used that rune weapon for my main, and thus that is where my trouble/doubt began.
As for level, I'm 121. I asked all this because somebody told me not long ago, something about damage and attack, and he told me to go for high attack, rather than damage. Maybe Imisunderstood him so I asked again, just to be sure.

Both attack and damage are important. There is a sliding scale of what is more effective when. You will have to do the math on it exactly, but in your case 10% is more important then the small amount of attack.
But, the basics are, if you have attack buffs ( Kirio, Senbonzakura ) then damage is more important. If you have damage buffs ( Zangetsu, Tensa Zangetsu, Zabimaru, full sets of gear, evos ) then attack is more important.
Works the same way with speed. If a hero has Speed talent/mods/good zan speed, then Agility is more important. If you have good agility, then speed is more important.

Well I got zangetsu. But I did the maths and with the full set I do get higher attack. I think I understand it now.
4-2 gear should only be used for pvp or for vanguards. No matter how high the attack they got. Always full sets for more damage in events I presume.
What kinda confused me once was when I was comparing a 80 relampago set full vs a level 100 spirit forged set. I thought relampago set would give more damage in events since it has 10% bonus against the 6 or 7% of the 100 spirit forged set, but when I did the maths, it seemed level 100 won by a minimum.
But here since there's no damage bonus, in the 5-1 equipment, the difference was much greater.
