How long does it usually take to see said events?
The eu servers will see them by the time their day ends. I dunno what time it is at their servers. Make an account in a eu server if you want to keep track, or watch forums until then.

No problem. Make sure to use stones on him first. He will be tanky asf if you do.
SO hp stones/ block stones/counter and str gems, with counter naturally. Stacking it up
Yes. And after you have good wisdom stones on your scroll users, make sure you get wisdom stones on him too. He lasted me quite a while. And he is able to take hits from strong characters if you tank him properly.
Ill use my gold to buy stones again, after I see events. Cant risk the next events not rewarding me for spending :P
