Well the lv8 stone box is kinda rare so just wait until a event where you'll be able to buy stones and get a partner, cause turntable isn't that good unless your desperate for that partner for 11.7k is the round price Turntable is one of the worse events to get partners in. It's generally best to wait for some other event to show up that has the partner you're looking for in it. ye but the thing is, i want hikifune and shes prob in xmas event, but with that event, you'd have to buy sejumaru for her or do the soul hunt thing, i think you can get additional chances for 50g but not sure yet dionysvs replied at 2015-12-25 12:04 static/image/common/back.gif

Pretty sure with 50 gold you get an extra chance. Also with 1000 gold you probably activate a higher level directly. In addition you get 20 extra points after each run (at the lowest level, if you dont get robbed), so it might come out to be cheaper that it seems, especially if you get more points on higher levels.
