I'd rather have Renji + Kensei, which you can get for topping up less.
of course, his price is freakin terrible. But as a character I feel he's somewhat cool for pve seeing as how he gives like 40% block to whole team when he's modded enough and since he has that talent he'll block a lot as well
Who Here can remember when we{Not Me} made a post on (Create a Partner and Give his Stats/Skill, I remember saying HE would be in game soon but i thought they would give him something like AOE Poison/Burn or probably healbut i guess they thought it would be to predictable):@

I simply disagree, you're wasting an assaulter slot on someone to give some block when you could just stack stones on your assaulters like most people already do, and get a really solid pve character like b.renji.
He's literally useless.
His shield and block is quite desirable, but (!!!) he is VERY slow and a 120% skill without 100 fury gain and no dmg/atk% mods make him a absolute no-go...
On top of that, he's a assaulter while his own Zanpakuto gives bonus only to Kido atk... <>_<>
At the end of the day, I see exactly 1 use for him: if you have a stacked Yhwach, he'd be close to invulnerable with that block.
If you think about that block for PvE, you can just get CSB Kenny (well... if you're in a decent CSB spot), since he reduces break def which I heard works in pve events.
the strength isnt bad and the hp is sexy as hell. but seeing as hiki is here... yeahh {:3_60:}

^This. unless they bring out a new event which requires above 90% block.. cuz as of now you're pretty much stacked for pve with 60-70%..
Shura -break def works just as fine, and has a much much better growth rate on skill. Actually I think he will be fine for pvp especially for stacking. With that block rate he will block any attack and can tank pretty well as it seems. Maybe not that great for late late game, but meh dunno
