Hire partners before soul cult exchange

If i hire Yama or C.Orihime before i exchange soul cultivation points for them, will they be unlocked at my level or will i need to dismiss the hire partners before i can use them?

If it works could someone explain the method.

Noone able to confirm this? I've read its possible in a few posts but still don't quite understand it.. do i simply click on yama in my bag from soul cult while already having him in my partners list from hire?

yes, hire them from lease before unlocking them from excl points bar, and u're good
