Taking mine to max. I really don't see the big deal. It is just experience. Personally, they should have it set so you must do Main to rank 2 in order to do partners and so on so no one could speed it by keeping main at rank 1, level to 150 and then max out the partners. Anyways, before others bitch about the experience lost doing it or how I'm stupid for planning on doing it to max, I completely get ya but refer to the photo below.

Instead of maxing my main i have three characters on lv1 want my whole team reincarnated before main is lv2. Needs more silver for exp books before I can get my partners to lv2.

You most likely don't see the big deal because you don't lose thousands on each stat with every level you drop. For example my senju dropped 14 levels and lost 50k speed and attack. Plus the amount of exp to get her back to level is going to take me weeks or even months to gather up. A 50k loss to all of your stats across the board is enormous. So no, it is not just experience

Oh noes you lose some stats and still beat everyone (I forget who was the strongest it's been awhile) while you need to blow silver to epic book her back up. For you, it's more then experience. For me, it's just that experience but also at the same time I'm used to games that are so much worst in experience grinding it's far from funny.
Either way, the real chat would be you guys trying to justify doing this new system for the overall power you will get in the long run instead of keeping your current levels and power while letting us newcomers use this system to catch up. Every new system they add will put the older players at some disadvantage (in this case you lose levels to gain even more damage then before well once it doesn't freeze fights and such).
I mean I could also bitch about the payable exploit system gogames added into the game for the players (inherit) who can top up to speed mod those OP partners when they should in fact take long to mod due to power they offer, but this is the only time I mentioned anything about it :P
Edit: When I mean exploit, I don't think they had in mind you guys farming and modding the other partners just to farm fragments (even though your spending gold for it).
