how about if i add this... this partner is most probably going to be temporary... If I can get Yama at my level for free... would you still say Byaukua would be the better choice?

Because I'd still say CSB Byakuya
To be honest I wouldn't go for anyone if it is temporary, would be wasting time and resources trying to get these partners (especially on soul cultivation)
If it's a long ass temporary and you aren't planning to get any other CSB character I'd still go for CSB Byakuya as he'd just the definite better choice and will have a bigger impact compared to the others
Res Ulq is loses in both pvp/pve to CSB Byakuya
and Yama is a waste of resource as stated before if you were to have him temporary ^^ :)

it's temporary till i get my Senju so I can have her and shinso be my main PVP damage dealers... in other words, from 2 months to 5 months temporary... then I'll pull him and replace with a real pve partner (was hoping for CSB Kenny or Sexy Yourichi, maybe someone else depending on what's going on in game then)

I still kinda say Yama just because of 2 things. You mention someone like CSB Kenpachi in which case you'd have him faster by not getting Byakuya (if time is a factor for you at all). Not to mention your Shinso is a lease partner and Yama is one of the requirements for Shinso Gin in Legend Gallery to have him perm. As for soul cult. being a waste of resource. He could take the long route and it be completely free only losing out on say the 1,000 fragments for 1 bar amount while still getting fragments from the free chances. Long term even for a Temp partner, Yama just makes more sense to me at least.
Yamma and ulqiora are slow, hakuteiken has mod + bond

Shinso + Shura Kenny is always great
you could just be for the patient road and kind of ignore PVE atm (in terms of partners) and just do with what you have atm ^^
I'd defo say get Shura who is full PVE and then have your other 2 partners (Shinso + Senju) kick in later, no need to waste resources on a temporary (2 months is pretty short to be honest) partner that won't last as long, especially when the 2 choices are CSB or Soul Cultivation; huge wasteful resources on something you won't use later ^^ :)

Well you will basically never get an fast and good pve assaulter. Brenji /shura ken is best for pve. ...
