for any kind of an answer that is almost the right one we need more info... stones, VIP, level, team, playstyle...

90% of players swear by Stark but If you want a more defensive Vanguard get Hollowed Ichigo. As Shadow will more then likely tell you, stack your Yamamoto and the Aid rate from Ichigo's skill will help keep your midline somewhat safe for the skills to go off. being your using a 1-3-1 team, and you are VIP5, with Tenjiro, B Renji and Yama (assuming you have your best stuff there, or at least a fair bit of it, and being that you spent most/all of your gold on Renji and Tenjiro) I'd go with Ichi, as Starrk would require too much of your best stuff, it would hinder your middle row a lot.
