Black screen issues

Someone said they fixed it doing something with their VPN, or something. I can't find the post, anyone try to do anything with their VPN and it fixed the issue?

No, the black screen was an issue well before flash updated, it just made it worse. I'm trying to gather what certain people did to fix it, to update the post.
