how to use a reiatsu refining pill?

i have a bunch but when i click on them they dont do anything. am i missing something on how to use them?

On the left hand side click ur reiatsu and then the 3rd and 4th options use ur pills first then gold second

in my backpack, i click on "use" in my reiatsu cultivating pill, but nothing happens... only open my reiatsu upgrade... but doesn't consume any reiatsu pill.

As he says, you must open reiatsu menu, and there the last 2 options consumes either gold or pills. Pill first if you have them. It even pops up a window which will give you warning and if you want to do it.
