yashiru with good dodge will make you unbeatable during middle level pvp, but thats very expensive for a character that becomes useless within 20 levels and spirit stones that become useless at the same time
another good thing about block is once combined with a zanpaktou that does not lower your vanguards damage countering can add quite some nice damage
