Not really, mid vip's are still stronger, all they have to do is use actual strong partners.
They still have better everything else :p
Just switch from a gold partner and use tavern partners instead ^^
(Or better yet, top up 4k gold in a good event and get like 10k gold out of it.
Then get a better partner ^^ )

'top up' thats not what I'm looking for, all I want is to sustain this position without having to change my partners for other partners. Like I want my team to work like it should instead of having to upgrade it because there are better partners in both ends of the spectrum.
Pretty much I want to enjoy my current team and have it being equal with other teams (cheaper or equal price) instead of it being simply outperformed by other partners simply because they are more up to date.

Well, then you're out of luck...
Old partners will always be old partners, can't do anything about that...
Fact is that they had to update tavern partners cause the diff between tavern and event partners was becoming so big that it got boring for both vips and f2p, so they updated tavern partners...
Now, what you can do it change to free better partners, make the best of what you got or get some new ones ^^

Problem is that you cant get the best out of current partners, if Shinso Gin had ignore invincibility/halo(instead of kido speed)/immune to fury reduction he would be back. Like small change like that, his mods are just so outdated. Like if they just give him a chance to play thru fury reduction or invincibility he would be viable as ever. It's more about their abilities than their stats, statistically they a tad better than red tavern partners but ability and modwise they are inferior.

Not really since Tavern partners are old but they updated them a bit and their skills are superior to gold partners. So old partners wont forever be old partners.

Updating tavern partners solved that.Updating other partners is just more unnecessary work :p
People that don't spend money on the game today don't make a diff for gogames, so they can just use tavern partners...

that why u bet all on shinso and no on tandem. shinso gin has good attack and stun but later ass need strong on opponent and vanguard defend them on action of opponent. balance is all but how u know many use high power on 1 partner thinking it is decisive. something as your shinso gin
