I don't think you understand it at all...
If you are already in a state of burn or other DOT's and  ...
Invicibility does not remove a dot or status ailment you already have, if you got a burning damage before you get invincible you continue being damaged (I fought enough Yamas with my uno to know) however it prevents you for being affected by new ones. One of other big difference with dodge is that invincibility prevents block damage.
Considering the cap on dodge I too think it is unbalanced, dodge is almost completely unusable thanks to the low cap. I dont' think dodge will be op without cap since you are still affected  by status ailment when you dodge and since it is a lot easier to rise your hit rate than your dodge rate (stones giving higer percent, title, skill etc...)

Evasion: You can still get (debuff/burn/mutilate/etc) from enemies.
Invincibility: untouchable

Yeah, what he said, nothing else. While invincibility does avoid everything, the only thing that is actually avoided while dodging is the battle damage from the dodged attack and the attacker's fury regeneration, everything else still applies like under normal circumstances (meaning if debuffs activate or not is determined by the attack's chance percentage and the defender's avoid injury rate).

I didn't say that it would cancel it, i just said that someone in invincibility will not take dmg, that round, if a partner has the burn status for 3 rounds and in the 2nd round the partner gets invincibility, the burn still goes on as if nothing happens, but the partner with invincibility does not take any damage from the burn that 1 round ^^

If you get fury reduced on dodge, fury reduction still happens. Not the case with invincibility.
