The answer is NO! VIP has so much improvments (I call it CHEATING, yeah, I fucking said so, it's CHEATING). It's unfair to compare F2P vs VIP when they are the same level and stats. Also gold is key on this game, no gold no nothing, you can't get crap without gold and sometimes you waste countless HOURS to so something as F2P that P2W can do in one single click.

It's true! I'm not even f2p anymore so I'm kind of a cheater too. I mean, the game takes all the good stuff away and makes people pay for it, it's unfair. It really is! I miss my old atari, my old nintendo, famicom/snes, sega genesis, all the good games were we had to really do it, we had to play hard to beat each other and also the machine. An we could have EVERYTHING available on all those old games without spending a single coin on it.

Yes, it is possible to be strong player without being VIP.
Asauchi is for upgrading equipment items at Shutara's Shop's Advance section. Those equipment sets are a lot more powerful then the ones you can Forge at Hachi.

Okay, since Visored Revenge gave me another set that can be forged and upgraded at Shutara's Shop using asauchi i can show you it the way i showed with evolution:
