So I have 2 aquaria sets, unsocketed and completely not infused, and I have 1 partner with fully infused blaze set but only with 7 spaces for stones on each piece of equipment and 2 Dark sets with the same.

Question: is it worth buying an infusion stone, infusing the new aquaria sets and waiting to fill up soul cultivation twice for all the socket pieces and then using up asuachi to get those sets to Dark and Blaze level, or should I just stick with the sets I've got and make them work with 6-7 fewers spaces for stones?

lvl 148 1st evo, partners are lvl 125 1st evo and above (partners using are mugetsu, shinso and main)

How comes you don't have the lv.60 infusion stone yet, of course it is worth, you keep that stone for all the lv.60 gears for your entire lifespan.
I don't know your current state, if you are going for a balanced team or a stacked partner :
-For a balanced team, you must socket the aquaria/firelord before advancing them to Dark.
-For a stacked partner, socket its gears first then the aquaria. An alternative is to socket one set of gears, advance it to Dark/Blaze and give it to your stacked partner, this way that partner will have a fresh and fully socketed set, the other partner inherit its old gears.

I spent about 5 months doing noting with SC except socketing gear...  no complaints, no regrets, at this point in the game, I couldn't imagine working around 6 or 7 stone slots....  bite the bullet, socket the aquaria stuff...  or bite the big bullet and buy the stronger socket stone sets and socket the bigger ones you have

yup. if you keep ignoring the socketing, it only gets harder and harder and harder to socket them as you advance your gear to higher levels.

and I didn't mention it before...  I wasn't aware anyone with aquaria gear or better didn't have it spirit infused up to level 20 anymore...  that's day one stuff bro..  it sticks with the equipment as it levels up, so it's more than worth it to do it ASAP

It takes way too much effort to socket your equipment then it's above 80lvl.
Sure asaushi lose is sad, but it's not like you lose it for ever.
Best way now, is to socket your aqua set and use asauchi on it later on (after lvl'ing them max, infusing and adding extra 2sockets).

nooo no no already considered that possibility and it'd take a lifetime to get enough universal sockets/lvl 90 sockets it's start from scratch or stick with what I have at this point

lol I already have 5 sets of fully infused aquaria/higher gear, the other two sets are incidental from visored revenge 120 sets that I converted for the asuachi. Fully socketed though, nope, those socket stones are harder to come by. I know infusion is key, I'm not that much of a noob haha ;) I just suffered through the infusion process slowly and painfully with no infusion stone because I was f2p. Those top up cards changed the game a little for me ^_^

Thanks for the honorary bro title, but just incase you didn't know, I'm one of those rare things on forum called female ;)

I think at this point I'm working with a stacked partner (yama) formation while I'm leveling and evo'ing up my UBP rewards, but I'm aiming for a balanced team with mugs, TSI, Hiki, Shinso and main with all doing a decent amount of damage. Not main necessarily but others definitely.

OMG I thought females were extinct here! jkjk XD

Just thought I should mention, TSI works best if he is stacked.
Assuming your Zanpakuto is one of the ones that don't have -40% Damage rate for VG (Hyorin, Tensa, RJ for example), you would go much farther stacking TSI than distributing the resources evenly among 4 partners.

Just my opinion though.

as a previous vanguard stacker, I can say with 100% conviction, if you build your vang right, he or she can carry you far in this game

what's the best way to stack a vanguard then? Just the basics, stamina + strength + wisdom?

It depends on the VG you are running. For example, for Noza you go FULL Block, and then get a ton of Strength, Wisdom, Counter, Stamina.

For TSI, you basically build him like an assaulter almost? I get Strength, Stamina, Counter, Block, Hit, Break Def. Wisdom if you want him tankier, Crit Hit if you want him with more chance of damage.
Currently I also run Agility on my TSI but that is specifically so I can get him to annhilate the 3rd place in Arena before they even get to fury attack XD

I learned to build a vanguard when I was running Noza...

high block rate (170%+) is a must
high physical and kido defense
high physical attack

crit is important, hit rate over 200% isn't really needed

try to put some HP regen on him or her

block damage is NOT affected by zanpacto boosts, so zanpactos like Ashisoji Jizo are very good for a stacked vanguard as that poison damage adds up for real and can stack with burn damage, putting your well built vang with Jizo next to a well modded Braggen louis for that burning death mod, then tanking for 10 rounds, can easily let you win a fight dealing 0 damage, just letting Braggen's death mod and Jizo's poison ravage your foes

but for how to build them, Strength, Wisdom, Stamina, Hit, Counter, Block would be the minimum I guess, Break defense and Critical are very important too, so socket your gear for sure

I don't appreciate being disturbed during my training
that being said you know strength wisdom stamina
I don't have much experience in stacking a vg

in case no one mentioned it, infuse, socket, max them out while they are at level 60, cheapest way
