Title: Komamura vs Shinji vs Harribel as 1 gold tavern partner. Need advise. [Print this page]

I am at the point as to upgrade to a gold partner. Though I am still wondering if I should go for any of the three. I am PvP oriented and each has their own benefits in that aspect. Who should I get? Currently 2nd highest level wise and bp wise in the server.

I was thinking of changing my composition if I go for Shinji, Right now I have a 2-2-1 formation (Support: Nanao, Orihime Assault: Main, Rangiku Vanguard: Sado). I still have the gold Ichigo (lvl 53) with Rukia and Renji I just switch about during events.

If I end up using Shinji, then I think Ichigo is more viable option with my main using skill 8. But I am not sure if he is better to have than a Harribel which forces your opposition a change in style and not to mention if she goes first.

I think Sajin is better to go with than Shinji. Sajin is tankier by far, even though Shinji do have a nice skill, the debuff from the zanpakuto make him not worth the hassle. Shinji also has a block buff that can be countered with break def stones. Sajin on th other hand has monster hp, defense and good strat. defense he has more longevity that Shinji.

Komamura is the best you can get as first gold partner. Here is mine with its stats equipped with decent stones.

Dude wdf lol? Decent...what level stones you call decent beacuse those stones must be pretty high to get him to 20k attack. lvl4-5 is decent in my book...I must have pretty low standards. Nice btw

Kind of a bump, but does yours have wisdom stones? I'm having trouble against a couple of strong enemies dealing high damage on my komamura despite it being decent.

How do I counter someone that has focused all of his bp into his main char assaulter and VG while leaving the rest with a lot less, but also outspeeds me with that same main character and 1 shots my main character and other assaulter with his leveled 7th skill? even deals 30k+ (non crit, normal attack I think) dmg to my sajin

i think better to get komamura or yoruichi, harribel not neccesary if you have momo, in my case i take first yoruichi now i trying to get komamura i have 500 golden janken xD

Hmmm well for one...if you lose in speed with main, its kinda gg especially since you can't survive the hit. Speed is the most valuable stat in pvp. I would suggest that you invest in speed stones on your main and upgrade your hyogu/accessories, refine agility, do anything you can do to squeeze out that extra speed. Upgrading reiatsu is a good way to get speed too if you already up others to a point that you cant upgrade no more.

I use Coyote Starrk, but I got a lot of work to do on him. Merging dodge stones as I get hit stones ect now. Dodge really isn't important late game, it's useless.

Do you forge wisdom stones into your Vanguard. Heard alot of players dont do that cuz its sort of a waste of wisdom, but it could help out alot for Vanguards.

I got 6 lvl 6/7 wisdom stones on my VG. I do it for Strat defense going against Kido users as well as defense for VG for espada/palace/trials where kido npc's hit hard as hell.

I don't know why people don't put wisdom on their VG's for defense, if you don't, then you should.

So did you add a slot to your equips? I currently have all my sockets filled with stones, but no Wisdom yet,
Currently using these spirit stones:

- Strength
- Stamina
- Hit
- Dodge
- Block
- Counter

Which do you suggest I replace for Wisdom spirit stones? Currently Using Komamura.

As you get the wisdom stones to put on him, merge the dodge stones, they are pretty much worthless anyways.

No you wouldn't, your not going to use Sajin forever, you'll need the hit stones for future VG's such as Starrk and Ichigo as they are offensive VG's. If you plan on getting them then might as well go hit, merge dodge because dodge is useless late game in PvP and PvE.

she is the queen of dodge .. for that there is no fury for the enemy + decrease fury + stun by my support = WIN

between Komamura and Shinji .. I will choose Shinji coz I can put him in many stratgy

Komamura only give me a single stratgy and that is .. last long until the partners activate there skills

but i think I will skip them until I have stark

She's nowhere near the best VG, dodge is *useless* mid to late game...everyone has hit by then. NPC's have super high hit, she gets crushed in palace/trials/espada.... IE: She isn't going to dodge anything, especially when she dies in round ONE....

She's useless. Your tactic works fine early game, but not mid/late game or against any player who has half a brain and knows how to add hit stones, and as I said, completely useless in PvE. Sajin is best defensive tank by far till Demon Ichigo.

You can't build a good strat around Yachiru late game, she is completely useless. Not sure why you are not understanding Dodge is useless mid/late game. You'll never make it to lvl 100 anytime soon to get Starkk with her, nor will you beat Espada 3/2/1 ect, or Palace 11/10/9 ect...

thats my experience in the game by far ... and im happy with the result

... in Palace 11 she lead me to the 30th floor

in Hollow Soul King she put me in the final challenge

in trial I finished lvl 70 early ..

in the arena 2nd .. 3rd place ...

do you think she is *useless* ??? don`t think so

Yes she's useless. You aren't going to go past palace 11 with her. Your not going to beat Espada 3 with her. If you are 2nd place in arena it's because your server has a lot of weak people, or people who don't know how to use spirit stones. Don't try to misslead others into thinking you can stick with her forever. She is USELESS in late game. Sure you could give her lvl 12 stones, and she MIGHT be decent, but that's not logical.

It's a proven fact dodge is useless late game. Enjoy struggling past 80 with her.

I'll tell you this much, if you think your Yachiru is strong because she can dodge, well that means that you don't have strong people on your server with high HIT.

And if you think Yachiru is better than Sajin, well imagine Yachiru doesn't dodge and she gets hit for 20k, then imagine Sajin doesn't dodge either, but he gets hit for 500.

What is there to prove? She's worthless...just because you got to last floor of 11th palace with her? lol...

She's trash after that is what people are telling you. She won't live past 2 hits. She won't dodge. Without her dodge she is useless...I don't understand what you don't get about that. You didn't prove nothing but show her exact limit, which isn't much. Please try to do Espada 2 with her, or Palace 10 or 9...or try to even place high in server clash with her...it won't go well. We are just trying to help you, but you seem to be stubborn into using her. The thing is you had the fortitude to say she is better than Sajin lol...that's not even close to true under any circumstances. You say he is just suppose to soak dmg till your party can use it's skills....THAT'S WHAT A VANGUARD DOES...and at high levels, Yachiru can't..I repeat CAN'T take those hits...making her useless.
