Title: Damage Calcs with Reincarnation Buff [Print this page]

Hello all!  I seek your help tonight/today with a question about where reincarnation fits into damage calculations.  To quote what is said (though I don't always trust the translations/statements) "When attacking reincarnated partner who has normal or advanced attribute power, the damage dealt by the partner who doesn't reincarnate will decrese by 30%"

My question is this: Is the damage reduction based off of final damage or does it plug itself into the formula somewhere?

For example, if normally you would do 100,000 damage to someone but then they reincarnated, would you still break past defense with attack at normal rate but then just do 70,000 damage?
Or, would you need to acquire 30% more attack power to get yourself back to the original 100,000 damage?

I don't know if this makes a lot of sense so if it doesn't just let me know!

On your particular question, indeed: final dmg*0.7

It's as he said, final damage * 0.7.

Your complete answer is there, have fun.

So....I was playing around with it and noticed that unless your attack (either base or buffed) is more than the enemy defense you would never do damage; even with a high growth rate skill.  Is this true?

Like, against a potential 2,000,000 defense void, even if you had Byakuya exclusive skill for a 500% growth rate and 1,000,000 attack you would still do 5 damage

See, a growth rate is not an ATK multiplier but the final damage's.
Byakuya with 1m of ATK against void of 2m DEF would do 0 damage, and 500% (or whatever the growth rate is) of 0 is still 0.
Void is not hard and there is no trick, just get your ATK past 2m yo

This makes way more sense now.  I remember looking at a damage formula that involved the skill rate as part of your attack calculation which is what has thrown me off.  Thank you very very very much!!
