I'm thinking about picking up myself blood war Grimmjow from Reios Furnace, and also somebody from Bankai power, now before I decide to pick one I'll wait till my options are given before I decided what's best.
- I can also grab from Ultra Hero, Current Points: 12000 + 4000 after tomorrows topup
- Yhwach & Raijin are rentals

No point in Yhwach or any other assaulter if you have Grimmjow.
I still suggest Haschwalth. Though for this much of a topup I'd say that's a really bad choice of events but I do not see any other option that may be viable considering your assaulter.

I was thinking Katen... but I'm looking to get Ryūjin Jakka or Benihime, then there's Shin Daiguren Toshiro is he any good. but I'll most likely go with your advice and grab Haschwalth.

btw when are the best events/times to top up, I'm coming back to the game and was always told Bankai Power ... another one was during holidays and anniversaries. The last time I played was when Bankai Kenpachi came out and now we have these BW monsters I'd like to get.

Not Bankai Power at all. That would only be for small topups and that too only if your realm/region reaches 15 topups for the Sode no Shirayuki reward (888 gold).
Katen could easily be replaced by Kyoka Suigetsu, or if you later intend to get Benihime or Ichimonji.
Shin Daiguren Toshiro is utterly useless. Never get him.
Best events to topup would be Bargain Sale, and Holiday/End of year to Mid of year special events.
In Bargain Sale you would do 4000 a topup for 5 days. You would get 16000 (4000 from Bargain Sale, 4000 topped up, 8000 Supervalue Gift/Rebate 200%) each day with 80,000 at the 5th day (rounding off, if you need to refresh that's like 10 or 100 gold so negligible).

In the current meta, I would not suggest Haschwalth, but since the options are not exactly top tier in this event, that is why I suggested him (now and previously as well).
If you do end up topping up in the right events later on, I suggest getting Blood War Neliel and Benihime/Ichimonji.
That should go well with your Grimmjow. (Though that too is weak if you can get Blood War Ulquiorra instead of Grimmjow, I would insist on Ulquiorra if it is an option).

I'm looking to get all the BW partners in do time, Ulquiorra would be nice but Grimmjow is still a nice addition to the team... Next bargain sale I'll have to do that and save the gold for Holiday events.

Btw isn't Blood War Stark supposed to be the next in line after Harrible? (Read on wiki)
- Wonder how good he'll be?

I would still hold off on Grimmjow.
However if you're looking to get the whole Blood War team, then sure. He is not useless, just secondary compared to Blood War Ulquiorra. And there's that 30% speed to Blood War Neliel too (from Grimmjow).
I do not know about Starrk. It has been a long time since he was supposed to come.
I imagine he will be a vanguard.
In that case I would get Ulquiorra and Neliel, and then Starrk if he's actually good.
Though this is more of an optional choice since you may be able to get him even after you have Grimmjow, Ulquiorra and Neliel.
