Ok so this may sound like a stupid question but I've been wondering since i started. where do you actually get zanpakuto "pictures" ???

To be more specific senbonzakura. I'm assuming you obviously need to have a fairly high level for zanpakuto's like that but do you get them from instances, stages, boss fights, seireitai campaign or something like that?

any help would be much appreciated

they tell you where to get them at in t he zanpakuto interface. some are from honor shop and some are not released yet. like the senbonzakura one you mentioned isn't released yet.

Senbonzakura is not available even on the Chinese servers. No telling when it will be out.
