Hueco Mondo Attack: Can't get past Dangai...

Every time I do the Dangai, if I want to change around my battle formation, all of my partners except for me have Yellow X's on them and my remaining HP is displayed as really low. When I battle them, my avatar is the only one on the field. What is that supposed to mean and how can I fix it so I can use all my partners?

If you need to know, my partners are Ichigo, Renji, Ganju, Nemu, Yumichika, Izuru, and I used to have Omaeda but I got rid of him.
I'm level 54 and all my partners are too except for Yumichika and Nemu who are lvl 52 and 53.

It means you died lol

In Hueco Mundo when a partner dies they stay dead, well except for your main who comes back with a little bit of hp

I'd suggest not to get rid of your vanguards yet.  They can be helpful in huecomundo, in case your main vanguard dies, you can just simply switch.  Likewise, if your partners die, just choose other partners to replace them with.
