the more recovery rate you have as a bonus such as from hyorinmaru, tensa , senbon the more that partner will heal
for instance sophisticated rangiku will heal like a god with that bonus

If you get hit e.g. by SWP Grimmjow's gran rey cero and your vanguard has the revive ability, he will still heal himself.
Same works with the 80% heal decreasing soul skill.
