Yes.

In PvE events take out your Vanguard and then Kenpachi can be used with Ikkaku and your main + two supporters..You will do ALOT more damage in those events.

For pvp if you use a 3 assaulter team then Kenpachi+Ikkaku+main is your strongest setup at that level. If you only use 2 assaulters in pvp then main+ikkaku is better.

Yes for PvE events and Espada/Palace. No for PvP.
But he is pretty good at taking down Espada 2 fights.
