B.Renji pvp slow

We all know Berserk renji is the best pve partner there is.  HIs damage is monstrous, very good.  But when it comes to pvp, I noticed he's very slow.  Kinda like yama slow or even lower, not sure, but he is slow.  Now on another thread somebody said he's good when combined with hikifune, but what if I don't have hikifune, is he still good for pvp?  Somebody got him in my server, put a level 120 set gear on him, some lvl 9 stones and stuff and I was surprised to notice how slow he was.  
Having said that, how good would b.renji be in pvp, because if I don't want to solely get him for pve purposes, I might use him for pvp, but what troubles me is that he's too slow.  

I've heard he's very good again, in soul map, 1vs1 fights, and group fights, but again too slow.  Not sure how good he'd be with aizen minions if he's that slow and I don't have hikifune.

Comments and thoughts about this will greatly be appreciated.

B Renji's pve power is in his skill set. He buffs the teams damage and I do think having him over a rank 11 hugo is a better choice.

Yeah.
It's essentially like dealing an extra 2-3m damage on your Shura Kenpachi vs doing tens of millions of extra damage from Berserk Renji. Mix him with a combo'er like Isshin or Kensei so he can skill more often and go to town. Your whole team benefits, not just one character.

Nope not really.  I meant it's a tier 11 hogu, right now my hogu gives me like 8k strength it's a crappy rydojii.  But with tier 11 that would be like a 60k boost in strength, only detail is that it's for shura kenpachi.

But by your response, I'm guessing that this doesn't matter.  B. renji is way better to get than a tier 11, 60k attack boost on shura kenpachi. Am I right?

Hey bwg a.k.a. the saviour, you said you're a pve guy and have a pve set up,  Maybe you can help me with a question, if you can.  I currently use isshin, shura kenpachi  and main in assaulter line.  I was gonna get b.renji to replace shura kenp but 2 things worry me.

1. Shura ken's break def allows me to block more in ES, which right now helps in survivability, specially since our ES is at 153.  I fear if I take him out I won't last in ES, but I could be mistaken

2. Wouldn't a tier 11 hogu, be better than getting b.renji?  If I get b.renji, I'm flat broke, won't have any gold left to buy anything.  But if I don't get b.renji and get tier 11 hogu, that's like 50k attack boost on shura ken.  Wouldn't that be better?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Tier 11 hogu are red.  But can gold partners wear tier 11 hogu?

He doesnt need to be fast, B.renji is to clean up the left overs and against STACKED VG.
