Title: Refresh red sled or one click [Print this page]

Which is better.  Refreshing red sleds or one clicking to get red sleds?  Wouldn't refreshing red sleds be cheaper?  Costs 10 gold to refresh and 1000 to one click so I'd have 100 tires to get red sled.  Somebody mentioned a while back that they didn't get red sled in 100 tries, while some one else said they got it in 10 tries.

Would anybody like to share their experiences with both?  ON which would be the cheaper option?

I think it's a good idea to just one click red your free chances.

I have yet to see red in a regular refresh. Gold, yes. Red, no.

I can generally get a gold sled after 10 or 15 refreshes, I've probably refreshed 100-150 times now and haven't seen a red one yet either.

Somebody mentioned in another post, they were getting red sleds by refreshing 10-50 times, never higher.  Said it had good luck chances.  So that got me wondering whether this would be better than one click, in terms of saving gold that is.

At reset I'll spend 500 gold trying to refresh and tell you what happens.

Don't know if this person saying the truth, but said, that when going for red sleds, always refresh, said always gotten red sled under 100 tries, even under 60 tries I believe, which means it was always cheaper than oneclickred.

That's why I wanted to know other people's experiences with refreshing, maybe they had similar luck, maybe worse luck.

I know Saint's been doing refreshes for it and it's saving him loads of gold. When I see him online I'll try asking him how much it's been costing each time to get red.
author: DeEmEn    time: 2015-12-28 23:24:33

I got a red after 30 clicks. one time 100+ clicks... So it varies.

ive already reset a couple of times and gotten red sleighs a couple of times for under 500 gold
and each one nets you 1500 points just for getting it across

My point exactly.  If I had done this from day 1, on day 5, I'd have gotten 15000 cards (1.5X10 free tries).  If I oneclick reached it to avoid robs, it would've been 1000 more cards, 16000.  So If I wanted a 20k point partner say, like hikifune or b.renji all I'd need to spend is 5k gold roughly, considering I spend 500 gold a day to reset and get red sleighs.  I'm pretty sure it would even be under 500 at times.

So in total a hikifune or b.renji would have costed 5k gold total, if I started from day 1 all the way to 5.  3k gold cheaper than using one click reach.

Though the event is almost over and I got no time machine to return to day, 1, lol.

Alright, update time.
First try took me 8 refreshes to get a red sled, my second try took 15.
It might be a higher chance than I thought.

My fourth I refreshed 155 times before just stopping with a gold and calling it a night.

Yeah I had a hunch of this.  If I would have done this from day 1, at the end of day 5 I'd only need 5k gold to get b.renji, a really really low price and 3k cheaper than getting him in oneclick red, but oh well, what's done is done.  I got no time machine.

Thanks for the info.

OH wow.  155, that's a lot, but at least you got it fast in earlier tries, I guess that made it up.

Yeah it evened out and I ended up still saving gold, I think the safe bet would be to just stick with one click tbh.

Let me analyze the data collected.  4 tries were done.  4 red sleds.  That equals 1500 X4 = 6000 xmas cards enough for a tier 11 hogu.  Now the cost.  80gold +150+640+1550+1000= 3420.

NOrmal price if oneclicked red = 4000.  Gold saved equals 580 gold.  All this is without counting the extra 6k gold from conveying after 2 free tries.

So, the only bad lucked part was in the 4th try.  But imagine if you got it in 50 tries.  Then the gold spent would have been 80+150+640+500 = 1370 gold, which is a incredibly good price for a tier 11 hogu.

But it's all about luck, might be more cheaper of expensive depending on luck.

I'm saying that I don't tend to gamble with my money lol, I think the smarter thing to do would be to one click it, because each of those had the chance to take 155 chances, I don't think it's worth the risk.

Good point.  Each could have been 155, but also each could have been below 100, you never know.  I guess people could get carried away by the extremely low costs of getting reds in refresh if they're lucky that they forget to think the high costs of not getting it right away, increasing it over the 100s.

But still, with a bit of luck that's an incredibly amazing price, I guess the risk takers will probably decide whether to risk it all and win big, lose big, or play safe.
