It's been a while since i've posted, This is where i am now, any ideas on where to improve?  ATM, I'm working on speed.  T1 Kieske goes first, working on Shinso's mods and total amount of fury stones to switch to him as that will speed me up, he gives a fake T1 to Shini Kieske, Isshin, and main.  I don't have the stones ATM for Soph to T1.  Got Muramasa and Hyorinmaru as my zanpacto.  The speed i get from muramasa is nice, but hyorins bonuses to the vanguard help a lot, and I find i kill harder opponents with Hyorin equipped.

It's so disappointing that the higher up you are the more battles tend to be one turn.
Literally haven't fought someone where the match wasn't decided in the first round in months.

I wish it weren't so. Their damage potential to hp potential ratio is way unbalanced.

I think it's more based on the fact that there's more incentive to go for damage rather than HP.
All of the events are DPS based, and in the arena if you go first all you need is damage not hp, so people focus on it. If you went straight up tank on every character you'd be able to survive attacks certainly, the only reason it's not that great of an idea is that GENERALLY the affects of skills will stun/fury lock/debuff you causing you to lose, making it not really worth going down that route.

Maybe. It could still be a little bit of both. I don't know for sure, though, because as you said, nobody actually works on it generally.

Damage and speed are two things while tanking can include two different types of defense, counter, HP, sometimes block, and other things. It's a lot more expensive, especially on GoGames's watch. On top of that, you need damage for Evil Spirit before you need anything else, one of the major sources of experience.

I'd get more Break Def. on Tavern Kisuke. Counter stones are some of the best stones you can have, and are a must-have the higher lvl you become, but, I think having Break Def. stones on a character that only attacks the VG will help you a lot more than the 90% counter.


Basically, replace Kisukes counter stones with Break Def.

nice, i'm also shifting between muramasa and hyorin ...like you say i pass the tuffc opponents with hyorinmaru, but mostly do pve with muramasa

did this on small scale...   huge difference!!  thanks bro.  after work i'm gonna play around here more...  see if i can make any other improvements

1. reiatsu too low
2. dont bother lvling up defense/hp equips so much for support/assault, waste of silver and not very effective
3. stack phys dmg and crit into main, one shotting supports shouldnt be hard, maybe even assaults too
4. get hikifune if possible, your speed is just too far spread out
5. if not hikifune, stacking into main and tenjiro works too, kisuke give t1, main one shot supports and most of assaults hp, tenjiro cleans up. tenjiro's speed is really easy, a set of lv5 agility stones should hit 100k + at lv100 ish

Good suggestion. My supports used to get killed quickly back when I had no break defense.

my only problem with tenjiro is it's hard to make him slower than Kieske.  and I'm coming from a super defensive set up.  and if I'm honest, I've made a few changes already based on feedback from this thread.  Sticking to Hyorinmaru for now as it makes my soph a monster. Working on speed other ways, as for str, brk def, crit, and agi stones, yeah, I just plain need more, and now that I've got soph and isshin paid off, I can spend gold on high level hogus.  Working on my Shinso's evo so i can T1 him and replace Kieske as I do miss his AOE with decent damage.  Shini kieske is just a monster IMO, and he can not only stifle supports till they die, but then he stifles the vanguard as well.  Isshin, while not as good as he once was (or even as good as he should be) his T1 void is awesome, however I do see the point on putting the lion's share of the phy attack on my main, hell, if I can get him grizzly enough, I may swap to muramasa for the damage and speed bonus.    In your opinion,  you think I should go Kieske, Main, Isshin, Shini Kieske, Soph?  Or maybe putting kirinji will let me pull a lot of speed from that position and put it elsewhere...   I'll play with it this evening and see how it goes.    again, thanks to you and everyone else here...  very refreshing to get real feed back on things...
