I'm looking for some advice.

My plan is to take the lead on a new server ASAP (or as close to it as I can get with minimal spending and accounting for potential big-spenders).

However, I'm having a difficult time deciding on the optimal formation.

What do you think performs the best all-around (not having 7+ max level characters)? What is the best at maintaining a lead if/when I get it?
1. Assaulter-Killer
2. Vanguard-Killer
3. Something Else

Assaulter killer is pretty effective early on. But if you want the best all around you should probably go with vanguard killers (since they're good for events as well).
But if you gain the first week advantage, it won't really matter anyway.

What most people tend to ignore in this game (at least PvP wise), is that Yachiru is pretty good if you invest a few Dodge stones in her. Not many people have hit stones early on, and in PvP it helps a bit.

Assaulter killer is nearly impossible to stop in the early levels, easy win/win until lv60~70.

If you want to take the lead early on, you will want to focus on both pvp and pve. The cool events have some pve that you get nice bonuses from such as completing trial towers and such.

Also depends how much you are going to top up too. I would suggest a 1-3-1 formation if you can top up to vip5/6 and just overpower your opponents in pvp with a vanguard killing set up like that, and you will do really well in the daily events which will boost you even further.

But what this guy said, if you want to be top 20 in the early game, dont focus on PvP and just build a solid Event formation so you can get as many ryoka kills daily as possible.

2-2-1 is the strongest in my experience, having one less assaulter effectively means that any assaulter killer teams essentially have their damage output cut by a third which is very handy, also early on there is very little ability for players to kill supporters so having 2 supports is quite the advantage.

I think its like 1-3-1 early out then once assaulter killers start appearing, 1-2-2 becomes more effective. Later on however, 1-3-1 seem to make more sense as it wont matter what your team is the main character 10th skill will hit all.

Assaulter killer

I went the VG killer way, and did fine, never had anyone to attack assaulters except free Ichigo and that was very very shortly. Kido is also extremely strong early, but falls way off late game when people get strat defense. I'd go with VG but that's just me, it's what I did and was #1, but assaulter attacks work just as well.

Personally, I like the VG killer thing too, because I feel more achievement of taking down VG especially after Hp buff is implemented and ppl already try to tank up their VG
but to ppl who focus on fast winning might be considering about assaulter-killing more

I think in PvE you might want a Vanguard killer and in PvP you're gonna want a Assaulter killer...but that's just my opinion...

Just remember that PVE builds PVP and PVP doesnt build PVE, so it may help to focus on some PVE elements early on. In addition, if you wish to keep leveling late game and save vit at the same time for the UBP event setting up a PVE based team might be better early on.

Take vanguard killer, always start pve, then tune you're reatsu, it will help you take the lead when you go on to gold characters its the best way to dominate you're server. First get pve characters then pvp
