Do they work? Specifically, does Christmas Ichigo -avoid injury (aka immune rate) debuff apply to ES/Ryoka fights? If so, is that essentially is providing a decent boost to the rest of your partner's damage since the debuff is essentially increasing your damage by 20%? (not technically, but close enough for this post).

Doe they work? Yes. Do they do anything? No not at all. That's because ES and Ryoka don't have any avoid injury rate to start with. Nor do they appear to have any defense from what I've seen.

Yeah, that was one thought I had rattling around in the back of my mind, but I kept trying to remember, I was pretty sure debuffs didn't help in ES/Ryoka, but couldn't remember why. I knew that I never used the -defense debuff skill for a reason.

That make sense and answers my question, thanks.

It really should give them negative defense/avoid injury, which should still increase damage, but oh well that'll likely never happen.
