Why would inherit even be useful? By the time this feature is out i'll be well over 70 on Katen and Zangetsu, will have to get Tensa though or the next new zanpakuto.

they could combine the stats of both and the attack effects combined.

I would see them merging, taking the better of the two on each stat.

Still, sounds a bit complicated for our simple devs who steal all their partner design ideas from somewhere else.
