It's not really a bug lol

You get a partner

they meet the requirement level for reincarnation
you reincarnate them
use the new feature on them to undo your 'mistake'
ta-da scrolls

yeah not a bug, just a strategy xD

I think the post you read was in response to a post where someone said "inb4 limited lease inheriting fixed" (paraphrasing) not that they were saying that this feature and/or bug has been stopped.
