a guild member of mine did this event befor, aparently you don't get the 250 directly but each day you'll receive 250/5 for 5 days

you will get the 250 gold over a period of 5 days.

you get 250 gold in 5 days as in 50 gold each day, with some extra stuff like gold reishi lvl 10 silver box etc. just be patient and you'll receive.
