Title: Simple (?) Question... [Print this page]

author: MylarHyrule    time: 2017-3-2 19:54:47     Title: Simple (?) Question...

Hypothetical question...

Say I was using Rajin Yourichi and a few others, and I was fighting against someone with a Hikifune...

My Rajin is faster so she skills first, mutilating Hikifune and two others in the process...
Hikifune goes next and spreads her invurln across the enemy team...

since the mutilate was there first, does it keep damaging, or does the invurln negate that damage?
author: theunknown404    time: 2017-3-2 19:57:09

It shouldn't negate the damage since the status is already on her.

that was my initial thought, but for most of us, that invurln is terrible, lol  she is the whole reason I started stacking on Noza for that block...

side question...  got any good answers to a stacked Retsu K? For some reason my Noza can't damage her with his block and sometimes I loose to this guy even tho I should crush him hardcore...  wait...   Shini Kiuske could do it...   I've been considering going to a 1-1-3 for pvp anyway...  I've already got a built up Cute Orihime...  she isn't ideal for 1-1-3, but it may be enough raw damage back there... my Bae B Rukia would help with extra raw damage... Saving for HMA Aizen (500 coupons owned towards first form)... and I've got Braggen, first tavern upgrade

Already in, I've got a T1 Tenjiro, to T1 Shinso and stones to T1 a third who is slower than Shinso (not tough being 95% of my speed is on Tenjiro and Shinso, lol)

I won the fight in this case, but for some reason, in GW, I die in the exchange somehow   next time it happens and i think about it, i'll snag one and send it to you

That Retsu K is not stacked at all, the reason you can't damage her is her skill gives invinc to herself

Invincibility on hiki also doesn't let her get hit when she has gets blocked by noza.
If possible i'l show you some BR.
Since she gets two rounds inv, after skill and after her first round is over and then she gets blocked she will be hit. But during the first round, if she is blocked it doesn't hit her and she looses her second round of inv.

Block works on people only when the invincibility drops.  Hiki's last 1 round, so if I am facing Hiki and Senju and Hiki uses her skill and I block her, she will take no damage since the buff applied after she used her skill.  If Senju attacks next, she loses buff since she just used her 1 round, so a block can hit or kill her.  Retsu's skill lasts for 2 rounds, so the invincibility stays up after her turn.

That's because Hikifune invincibility is for only 1raund. The moment she attacks her invincibility is gone and this way she (or anyone else) gets blocked and take damage.
author: Raeace    time: 2017-3-5 11:23:47

My question is why does she increase her fury by 52 instead of 35, in description it says 35 and with that she shouldnt be able to keep invincibility on longer than it takes for it to wear off without critical hitting, like thats the reason why Shinigami Yoruichi gets no fury back so she cant keep it on endlessly, so this confuses me the most.

Critic rate doesn't only let you to make more damage but also characters who generate fury with skill can get 50% more fury than normal and it isn't influenced by enemy's counter rate so if unohana has 100% critic rate then she will be always restoring 52 fury.

So thats why i always generate 37 fury with my shinso gin even if it doesnt crit anyone per ce.
author: Raeace    time: 2017-3-5 11:54:21

Actually... I might aswell try to get Retsu Unohana, I think she would compliment my current teamcomp. I would replace my Kirinji with her, because atm I'm running Shinso Gin who t1 gives everyone 37 fury and Kirinji feels a bit outdated, I already have Shinigami Yoruichi, so 2 different level 'nukes' could compliment each others, while i have Shinso who hits everything aswell as Demon Ichigo. So I would have 2 nukes with decent invincibility and 2 aoe with utility and general physical/kido damage, so my team would be fragile but wouldn't have lack of damage in any department.

Well atleast that's what i think
Does she get dmged if she get blocked then she cast her skill?
If she doesn't get dmged then, then i'm like 100% sure this is the case (what i said before).

See I always thought block hit through invincibility also because of the interactions in your first BR with the other partners.

They just received invincibility from Hiki which lasts 1 round.  Hiki is invincible during your turn while the other partners are invincible the enemy turn, why is that?

Edited because I was mistaken about round counting.

The invincibility buff is applied to everyone after Hiki uses her skill.  Since Hiki turn is done when she receives the buff, the block wont hurt her.  The rest of her team will have the buff at the start of their turn, so after they attack, they lose the buff and can take damage.

This is roughly how the BR went.

Essentially Hiki ignores block dmg only because of flawed combat logic. The invincibility is applied when a partner finishes the current round in which it was applied when it should be applied after the combat sequence finishes to keep her more inline with the rest of the team.

Round 1:
Hiki Skill - Receives invincibility, ignores block dmg
Rest of team attacks/skills - Get hit by block dmg even though they have the buff icon but they dont actually becaome immune until after their 1st action finishes inbluding potential enemy blocks.

Enemy attacks - The rest of your partners are now technically invincible and ignore dmg

Round 2: Invincibility is gone the moment any partner initiaties an attack - game continues.

Basically what Im saying is, either Hiki shouldnt ignore the block dmg, only the dmg from the enemy attacks when they attack or Oetsu should ignore the block dmg as well.

As far as buffs go, 1 round means 1 action.  Lets use Ryujin Jakka's defense buff as an example, it lasts 2 rounds.  Let's say my team has 3 supporters, Haschwalth, Nemu and Senjumaru and they are all faster than anyone on the other team.

Haschwalth goes first, his buff drops to 1 round remaining.  Next is Senjumaru, she also now has 1 round remaining on buff.  Next goes Nemu, at the start of her turn, my Haschwalth gets an extra round from combo rate, now Nemu has 1 round on buff.  Haschwalth attacks again from combo, his defense buff is now gone before the enemy team has started attacking.

The visual icon may not go away when you see the blocking happening, but they had already used their turn so the buff was gone.  In the fight after Oetsu uses his skill, Mayuri swings at the assaulters, but can't hit them due to they are still invincible.  After they attack Mayuri, they lose their buff.

So to maximize the value of invincibility that lasts 1 round, you need Hiki to go before anyone, and the rest of your partners to be slower than the enemy team.
