I tried using this option with my main equipped with tier 12 hogu and my red tavern kenpachi. It seems that I can only equip the tier 12 hogu on tavern kenpachi through the "treasure" page. Is this a type of bug?

I presume that the system "thinks" that your Kenny is still gold tier, so yeah, they should look into it and fix it..

Advanced Tavern partners can wear the new color Hogus, but you have to manually equip them. Purple to Gold tavern partners still can't inherit though.

Yerah, it's a bug; only manually equippingg works. I already wrote to GG about this, they even said they'll look into it, but it seems they didn't (or weren't able to) fix it.
