Kukaku or Gerard

How much more defense does Gerard have than Kukaku? (not including his 4th mod)

I know he just came out but someone gotta know if he's worth the change. I need a vanguard that got double the defense of Kukaku's full potential, might seem like a stretch but why not.

Thoughts would be appreciated.

That's because Kubo is a terrible writer. He didn't even show what Ichigo could really do :p

Lol well that's what I was basing  it off of. He'll they could make ichigos kid the first black label partner if they wanted to

Gerard is not good in DEMON DEF. Or have Huge Def at start

He is For team not "One man Army" like TSI

I think  
If [Both with out only Def mod Kukaku 35% Def and Gerard 40% Def]
Gerard have more Def than kukaku but not in double

maybe If Kukaku have 100 def
Gerard will have 125 def like this

If [only Gerard without Def mod 40% Def and Kakuku in FULL POTENTIAL]
Kukaku is better in Def than Gerard

Including both in FULL POTENTIAL
Kukaku still better in Def and heal than Gerard
In start of battle too

If in long fight or have Healer or for strategy Gerard is better
