I don't top up but I'm considering NOT getting mugs in this UBP and instead holding out to see if Koga comes along...he might not though and I'm still running an out-dated but hard hitting yama as my main assaulter. I have the vit so I could get him, but would he be a good addition to my team? Or would I just end up replacing him with Koga if he came out?

PVP form: main - yama - hiki - kisuke (swapping him out for shinso once he's levelled and evo'd) - demon ichigo
PVE form: main - brenji - yama - kisuke - demon ichigo
zan is tensa at lvl 50 fortify
main lvl 140

In all honesty it depends since I'm guessing you're keeping Tensa Zangetsu as your zan. IF that is the case getting Mugetsu would help you out in pvp and, even pvp. That % increase to crit damage will make him a hard hitting assaulter but, that's all I know from experience when I first got him along with Tensa.

yes def keeping tensa, he's the best I've got. I guess even with the extra things that Koga can offer, 50-100% crit damage is very impressive...

Get mugs and just save up vit for koga. Worse comes to worse you'll have to get a top up card to inheriti later. But I wouldn't miss this chance if I were you

There's no point getting Mungetsu if you have Renji. Keep Renji and swap him for Muken later.

He should not be using Yama at all to begin with. As a former B.Renji user, i can can safely state than he is very underestimated in pvp. He is an auto-win against stacked VG or supporter teams at low-mid BR ranges. You can win against Orange supporters with Renji (his death mod) His 100-150% fury every round means you can chop down overstacked VG's in time. He has Hiki for ''nuke'' role. Mungetsu's main drawback beside being outdated is that he is one of these well-rounded partners without any strong or weak sides.

i agree that brenji is awesome even in pvp, im just saying mugetsu for FREE while using tensa also shouldnt be underestimated.

dont listen to these fools.. u could be waiting another 2-3 months for koga (plenty of time to save for next ubp) whereas mugetsu will benefit u NOW.. hard hitting and mods that keep him from being stun locked..

Also that 2-3 months for a new ubp. Koga isn't promised and that's plenty of time to save it again.

The simple fact is you don't know if koga will ever be in ubp again. That's the risk you are taking.

Dunno but I still have 4.5k gold on my vip0 so it depends on how smartly people used them

FYI, we have had bankai power twice now since they were given out... the event is dead and over... so spending the gold to inheret for mug, then again to inheret for muken would be a huge waste... if the guy is gonna lay on muken, mug would be a mistake... plus at best you would lose 40% (prob closer to 35% in real world math) of the stack on yama if you did 80% inheret twice

ya but i think it'll be back at some point, and saving yuor gold for inherit should still last a while.

plus there was no mention of muken or when they'd get muken, it was only for saving up vit for koga whenever they came back around (which is a complete chance) which is what im basing this all off of. im just saying atleast get mugs since 2-3 months is enough to get enough vit again for another ubp and not to waste this chance since i dont think mugetsu will be back anytime soon unless gg gets glitchty or bored

I'd say since Mug is in UBP that Koga will not show up for at least a year or more... it's a different power class of partners... like the difference between Shini Kensei vs Mugetsu... Mug outclasses Kensei all day long, just like Koga outclasses Mug... if he isn't close to Muken (over 6 months) then getting Mug may well be a good pic to replace Yama (seriously, why would he use Yama in pve anyway?!?!? that's mind blowing IMO)

mugetsu even though he is outdated a vip0 would reap the benefits from having him.. i mean im vip8 and even i picked him up..

to answer the question you asked and not a tangent...

Mugetsu is MUCH better than Yama, hands down, all day long, no questions...

Koga is better than Mugetsu, no doubt...

If you top up to inheret down, then yes, you would almost without a doubt go with Koga over Mugetsu IF he ever comes to UBP...

Will Koga come to UBP?  possibly, yes, but I can't imagine seeing him there before 2019 if this game is still open at that point, but being that we are seeing Mugetsu there, I don't suspect to see Koga there if I'm honest

Mugetsu is a great assaulter, will boost up the combo rate on your supports, give fury to himself and your vang, along with a whole slue of nastiness he lashes out on your foes...  He's MUCH faster than Yama, and will 100% for sure outshine him in PVP and PVE, and most probably in Void as well...

Is Koga better? Not even a good question, yes, yes yes...  Koga is for sure better in almost every way, shape, and form...

Now I have a few questions for you to ask yourself...

1) Do you top up?
2) How close are you to getting Muken?
3) Will Koga ever show up in UBP?

Once you answer these questions truthfully to yourself I think you have your answer...

also, If you are within a few months of getting Muken, skip Mugetsu, Muken is so much better than him or Koga it isn't almost funny, and every time you inheret down partners, at best you only get 80% of the resources each time you move your stuff...  so lose 20% from Yama to Mug, 20% from Mug to Koga, and 20% from Koga to Muken = Muken being about 35% weaker than he would be if you skipped Mugetsu and Koga, and about 17% weaker than if you only had one of them in the mean time

Yea, if this was a Koga UBP I wouldn't even be creating a thread about it. It's obv he's a great partner, but in answer to your questions:

1) nope, don't top up anymore (am vip 4) but I have 1 top up card I've kept in reserve and enough gold left for 1 inherit besides
2) not even close lol
3) I can't answer that one, it's a possibility but who knows with GG. Atm I'm trying to build 2 other characters up in my team and it takes time and resources to evo and level up, so only downside is even if I got mugs right now he wouldn't be able to replace yama for a while yet

Haha I know Yama is low on the damage percentage but in the beginning as a vip 0 he was my best partner so I built the hell out of him and now since my better and newer partners aren't strong enough to do really good damage yet yama still manages to do the most damage incl the burn effect

Hopefully will change that once I've gotten hiki T1 (2 more evo levels to achieve that), then I don't have to worry about slow-ass kisuke T1-ing her (it'll be a while until I can replace him with Shinso as I just got him)

lol this is true, I forgot to factor in how long exactly it'd take before Koga would actually come round, if he ever does, and then I'm still sitting with old yama in the meantime

hiki isn't considered a damage dealer in all honesty... her damage potential comes from her attack bonus to the rest of your party... I mean, yeah, she can hit hard for sure, but she isn't really made to be a damage dealer in her own right IMO

sadly, those top up cards have lost a lot of value since everyone doesn't have them anymore... keep an eye on bankai power and see how often 30 peeps top up... if you see a time when 29 do, use it and save the gold for sure... at least in my server group, it never gets to 30

if Muken isn't on your radar, mug may be the man for you, spending the vit on him to get him and just sit on him isn't a bad plan IMO, that way you have that option later

We managed to reach 30 in my server when everyone had top up cards to use. I missed one so I'm sitting with an extra. Either way bankai power/super gold wheel seems to be the best time to use it regardless. at least will get a slightly decent amount of gold.

Nah I know hiki isn't a great damage dealer, thats why I remove her for PVE. But her skills come in handy for pvp. That said I have experienced some hiki's in pvp that hit pretty hard. depends how she's built I guess

Hiki in pvp is great but you really have to have her stacked to go first and get the inv off. Depending on the server group and if they have ignore inv stacked then it might not be worth it

If you don't want to use hiki, you can use shy nemu with full mod to boost assaulter's damage rate.
