I've been playing for a while now (LVL107 US S31) and I just found a way to get free(ish) Burger King gift cards that can be used to buy gold in the game.

1.  First thing you have to do is sign up for Bing rewards by going here: BING REWARDS
        -- Important to note that you will need a Microsoft account to join Bing Rewards
2.  Once you have a rewards account, you will need to do Bing searches to earn points.
       -- Typically, I get about 17-27 points a day.
       -- A quick tip is to just click on the search suggestions until you hit your daily quota.
3.  When you hit 525 points (475 at the gold level), you can redeem those points for a $5 Burger King gift card.
4.  Within the game, go to 'Top Up'
5.  Choose the $5 amount and use 'Paymentwall'
6.  Select Burger King Gift Card as your payment option.  (It will direct you to another site)
7.  From there, follow their instuctions on putting the gift card number (which is emailed to you) into the field and you get your free money.

This may take some time to build up enough credits to buy a gift card, but for cheapskates like me, it beats paying out of pocket.
