I can't say if it really works, but I don't think that' it'll show up in tooltip: it's  a "in battle" calculation. You can test in in Konso:  remove everything except Muken and write down damage value test then by adding Shy

Its a halo.
Its effect is only felt during battle so in battle he will have 231% damage rate. its similar to speed and defense halos and what not that also take effect during the battle.
Added note:when the partner applying the halo is removed so will the effect of it.

also when char die seen some halos that ends when the char die cant remeber who exactly but im pretty sure of that of course not all halos just some

Thats all of them. Like i mentioned before if the character leaves the formation via directly taking them out of form before battle or them being defeated during battle the halo and its effects will be removed.
