I do not fully understand this. I have 5 open slots for the aid list. I keep trying to light up the characters under the ones in my formation, either by adding them to the formation or aid list. but they don't light up, i did it one time with nanao but i forget how i did that and haven't been able to do it since. And when i'm in the battles that have the red Cross above the skip battle button i move my mouse over it and it shows japanese or chinese wording. I can't read that! I don't know what that means.
And what's this about a Halo? and a passive skill? and a after death skill?
And i have SOO Zabimaru Renji ( no clue how to make the special o's) and it's not lighting him up for my main to upgrade like it does for yoruichi. Why is that?
first you have to complete each characters trainings mission to light up the characterslots in attribute bonus, then you can add them into aid list or use them in battle to get the bond bonus and level their passives
You can see what challenge you have to complete by hovering your mouse over the Damn... Dam requirement, as long as you can see enough of it with the text cut off

i see so even if u fulfilled the mission n the target partner wasn't in the fight u have to repeat the fight having the partner in question fullfilling the mission alright thks for the tip
no If you beat the Mission requirements, for example Yoruichi Shihoin ( gold partner) all you have to do is have her join battle. and by that it means she MUST be in your formation for you to upgrade your Special Bond ability she gives your main ( mine is arrancar kido ) and Soo Zabimaru renji for my main, when I took one of them out of the formation it made it no longer accessible to upgrade their bond until after I put him back in the formation.
