Isshin or Ikkaku?

I know that Isshin is better xD However, I just bought Isshin and it'll probably be awhile until I can get decent tier mods on him. Meanwhile, my Ikkaku is tier 3 modded and about 25k more in BP than Isshin. So I'm running Ikkaku in my main lineup and subbing Isshin instead of Kenpachi in for PVE battles as the third assaulter. My question is, is it worth losing the BP for Isshin's skills? Even though I'd be losing that much BP, would I technically get better having Isshin in my main lineup?

I just want to know if BP is like a "tell all". I KNOW that Isshin is better, but idk if I should wait to get his BP and mods up.

if his lvl is too low use him in events and lvl up if not use him right away

Isshin all the way.
He may not be as powerful as he once was (fuck you gogreed), but he is still better then Ikkaku.
