Isshida Ryuken..worth it?

I'm a new player, and I really LOVE Ryuken's design, but some people have told me he's wank...

I literally have nothing, I'm just level 48.

That being said, is he worth it?

"Wank" is a slight understatement.  If you are going by design you might like nimaya or senjinmaru or ishin or yama or anyone good.  Ryuken has some potential in PVP but nothing worth while for low level.


Now, we had a guy which was wanted to try him and posted on forum "how op he would be", the whole forum took piss out of him for couple of days. Side note, Ryuken doesn't look that good either, but that's up to preference.

Also there is even a satire account made for Ryuken after the thread was created. Hope it will appear here.

if you like a partner go for it. I dont care what their skill is or stats, just fit them in your formation if you can.

Not really worth it. There is a variety of other partners that cost less and are way better than him. Just get something else (ex. Hiki for PVP, B.Renji for PVE etc.)
Considering you are level 48, it's probably better to focus on a good PVE formation however if you are new to this game you should probably not top-up and just learn the game better first.

Immune Silence + Immune Fury Deduction from his mods means he got permanent %100 crit + dodge every turn. every partner can be good with right setup but this guy certainly got potential. You can use him with Nel

For his price he's crap.  B renji is much better and cheaper. Hikifune and senju are probably the best bang for the buck right now. Also check events before you too up, and usually you get best rewards on top up if you spend durring different events you purchased on

If you want Ishida, you would probably have to make a specific team for him. Unit like Koga(3rd Mods) and Nel Tu that could reduce enemy's hit rate as well have enough dodge stone to make him have 90%. You could probably make a good team based around Ishida, but the amount of time and work you have to put in compare to the more recent unit make him not effective as a unit. When looking at Ishida's exclusive skill(AOE reduces enemies' block and immune rate by 99%), it is a good skill but will take a long long time to get. If you really want him and want to use him for a decent time period, it will take a lot of time, money, and you would be limited to specific unit(if you want Ishida to be good without stacking him).
