yea and its also a good way to see which people in the game have stalker tendancies

No, and no reason to do that, i often like to check up gear on better players to see the direction in which i should aim.
People that always hide their gear in other games just piss me off, cut the crap with the elitism.

it has nothing to do with being an elitist its more to do with the fact that there are certain people in this game who have issues with players who spend money on games because they are happy with the service its providing. other people shouldnt have access to see who spends what or how much on this game then constantly talk about it and make fun of them after they notice it.

the only people who needs to know that information are the people who spend that money and the company that takes it from them. NO ONE else other then those two mentioned has the right to see that information.

also with regards to players hiding their gears, from the mmo's i have played people have done that for a few reasons,
1) their gears are crap and are still being worked on.
2) they have researched the game well enough to know what to go for and work towards that and they dont want others to see what they're doing
3) people commenting on their gears constantly and they are tired of it.

also glasglow i know you are around the forums enough, i saw your comment in the "which is the best spirit stone" thread...... but yea, im pretty sure you've worked out a lot about this game yourself from reading the forums and walk through's thanks to other players who took the time to make it for the general public to read.

I see your erver is crap in term of people taking on people, that's lame, frankly i try to take advantage from people above me to make the best choice in gears, and everyone in our server do same, if somebody is not happy about it we shut him up,

TO sump, if they can creat an option to choose to hide he gears wy not,

people have money and buy so i deal with it

If you topped up a lot and are really strong they can still see the characters that person has and how strong this person is so it'll be obvious that the person has topped up a lot. It makes no difference at all, being able to hide your gear is a stupid option imo.

your guess about the server i play on is pretty much right. I cant fault all of the players on that server for the views of a select few and there was a time i went out of my way even when i was ranked #2 in arena to help them by running around guild wars butt naked to give them free kill's so more people could get the triple crown title in preparation for the server merging but that was spoiled by one of them taking advantage of me trying to help them. currently there are only 4 people on my server who have that title and all i can say about that is, hurry up with the merge already we've hit our title quota and need fresh meat especially those with some bite

Robenator its more the achievements since it advertises who is vip, if they're a high level vip  and i do agree with your statement about the gears window however the way things are at a certain level that would really only apply to those who have 100% fury. Ryoka's are pumping out a lot of level 3 stones and for those who have good eyes and can spot their patterns quickly, while being good at ninja'n at the last second it doesnt take long to upgrade to at least lvl 6/7 stones after about a week at most.
