I'm a mechanic....

Had a guy come in the shop today in a 2012 Buick Rendezvous...
Demanded that we change his speedometer cable because his speedometer wasn't working...
I informed him that his truck did, in fact, not even have a speedo cable because it's all electrical now...

This guy demands that is the problem, and orders me to install one...

It took me 15 mins of explaining to him how that just isn't feasible...

THIS is why our shop prefers female customers vs male customers...

Woman will come in and tell you she hears a funny noise in the front end...  the man will tell you he needs a wheel bearing, and if that doesn't fix the issue, he expects it free

Long story short...  Find a mechanic you trust, stick with them, and if they tell you something as fact, don't argue with them!!
Fuck your feelings prick

I just tell my mechanic what is happening, what I think about what it could be, and I leave the rest up to them.

This is how I run my business, I usually told the customer to stfu in a nice way and let my mechanic to do their job. You need to practice to make them look stupid and confused. It will do the trick.

ah yes.  WebMD.  My old friend.  The only place I trust to tell me that every symptom is a sign of cancer in some form or fashion
