Do you get gold reishi when you recruit from SWP?

I remember seeing a post saying that recruiting a swp partner will actually give you the reishi instead of taking it away. It is true?

Last I saw this was still a bug.  My brother exchanged for a partner and received gold reishi a couple months ago

yeah it is true, and still works
tho it doesn't give the whole golden reishi expense but some of it

I also heard that it doesn't consume the coupons. If that's true, wouldn't you be able to recruit and dismiss swp partners for an infinite source of golden reishi?

Does the amount of reishi you have get doubled or only increased by the amount that the SWP partner cost?
