Explain combo rate and Formation

Hello,
How should I do my formation if my 3 assaulters have combo rate? [3assault'( main +2)]

I want to do the more domage possible with combo rate in 1 turn.

Combo rate when it triggers if the partner is in the bottom slot of the middle row the partner in the middle of the middle row will receive the extra attack but if the partner in the middle combo's then the partner at the top will get the extra attack, and i believe if the top partner gets the combo then the middle will get the extra attack. So best to put the stronger partner in the middle because s\he will be able to hit the most.
