Ok, so i just tried doing bond today, what am i missing here for this 3 star condition?

Try it with full team. It didnt work for me when I did it very similary to you but when I put there whole team it finally counted.

ah i had to play with full formation, looks like playing with just 2 it seemed to system that i lost 3 partners in battle. thanks
