Hey people, I'm pretty sure nobody here remembers me since i've been gone for like a year or so now.
Anyone mind filling me up ? What did I miss ? I've been gone since like the apperance of Yamamoto bankai, any mechanic game changes? What's the meta now?

Thinking of joining a server soon with a couple of friends, we're gonna hit like vip 6-8 and since I missed so many new chars/events etc. I dunno what i should be focusing.

You missed out on a lot. The meta right now is just stacking one partner for pvp.
New event called Bankai Power; Top up any amount and if enough people in your realm also top up you can claim 888 gold for free. (I don't recall this being around a year ago)
Prices dropped for a few partners.

The core game play is still the same old grind.

I see. Back in my day, I was stacking up everything on my Grimmjow and i had made him a monster. What would be a good choice for nowadays?
Also I remember formations trying to focus on vanguards, like i had a guy on my server with a hyorin + sophisticated rangiku and nobody could kill him. Is that still possible?

I mean yes everything is possible with the right amount of money

If you want to stack supports instead you could go Katen as zanpaktou, Senju & Oetsu and/or Hikifune as supports.

The meta right now is just to get Ryujin Jakka and it doesn't even matter what partners you have. The more recent partner are obviously more broken. Days of gold partners are pretty much gone (Except for a few such as Berserk Renji, Bankai Rukia, Retsu Unohana, Shin Isshin).

Oh yeah, and you can upgrade tavern partners now from Gold quality to Red and double their stat growth rates.

first off welcome back, important highlights :
any ultimate set startin from lvl 100 to 140 can be forged in shutara shop for a much better set, except the lvl 100 sets jadesoul and so on from i forgot the name of the event
Tournament of Throne with red hogyoku fragments, exclusive fragments, silver,xp books for non reincarnated folks and reincarnated folks, dont reincarnate once u hit lvl 110 if u start on new server
tavern partners can be upgraded to red quality thus they can now use tier 12 hogu, 2 more modifications added to tavern partners
CSB now has a newer super broken op partner Chair aizen or Muken or how ever u want to call it, 10k red stones, aizen's zanp Kyoka, highest speed giving zanp in the game at this point for 12k red stones
csb also has new shop with bits and bobs but most important are the ulti lvl 120 set for 2k challenge stones and ulti 120 accessorys for 2k challenge stones, but better get the set and dont bother with accs
new and very awesome event for f2p and peeps who stopped topping up, named Anniversary, daily sign in and use the daily Move in that event to get over 10 days 2x top up cards of 200g value each which used in Bankai Power when your group of servers reaches 0 required zanps you can get 50g+888g along with some more gold if Super Wheel and Reio Guardian are on also

also Zento has started to lurk in the forums again so be extra carefull

I have some questions regarding some parts though so let me ask, please bear with me.

In CSB, muken aizen is now purchased with red stones , I don't remember these around and I can't seem to find out where to get them.
Why should I not reincarnate once I hit lvl 110 ?

One of my questions now, is Ultra Hero still the best event to top up while active? Or nowadays we have something even better?
Also, is Shinigami Agent still worth getting? I'm sure it is, but it won't hurt asking.
Shutara's Shop and Tournament of Throne, whats up with these? I really don't remember them around.

Click on "Work" each day in Shutara Shop, then remember to click on "Claim" after exactly 1 hour has passed.

Tournament of Throne allows you to enter+bet on battles between players from your Server region to get 25 extra coupons than what you bet. You can only bet twice in one day.

Shinigami Agent is usually considered worth the gold, but I do not know about you personally so I'd hold on to that gold until you're familiar with everything as it is in the game now.

Ultra Hero is not the best event to top up while active. There are several events like Bargain Sale(top up 4k get 12k back), and others I fail to mention.

Do not reincarnate because of Tournament of Throne. You will not be able to make use of the rewards you'd get from the Non-Reincarnated Bracket(portion) or Intermediate 101-120 bracket of Tournament of Throne(ToT) if you do Reincarnate.

You get Red CSB Stones or Inferno Stones by clearing rows in csb, 1 row=40,2=60,3=70,4=75 and 5=80.
