Komamura or Shinjii?

So i've been wondering, which would be better? I know i saw people post that Komamura is one of the best vanguards for that level range, but i've seen Shinji recently and his whole enemy team attack was pretty impressive ._.



Stat wise, they seem to be rather equal, actually shinji seems to be getting more damage output, but a bit less defensive abilities.

Shinji seems to be a mix of defense and offense, blocking capabilities comparable to Sado's and also additional damage, while doing 90% damage to the whole enemy team.

While it seems like Komamura attacks just the vanguard, like most heroes in this game and gets his defense boosted by 30% on special, ontop of his passive defense.

It really depends on what you want. Komamura is the more "tanky" character, plus you've got to remember that most zanpaktou reduce the damage rate of the vanguard. So really imo Komamura is a better vanguard but shinji would be good for a full assault formation. Then again I actually haven't seen anyone using shinji yet so he might be better than I think.

komamura is a true tanky crew. Shinji is a block oriented tank who deals a little damage.
komamura is better iin most teams if  you don't have a zanpakuto which reduces vanguard's attack

could you give more details on how this works? like which zanpaktou for example reduces damage and how it affects shinji but not sajin?

its not just the damage but the health and revival rate ...

There is nothing unclear about how those Zanpakuto work, you take the total damage of your Vanguard, and reduce it by 40%, and you get the damage that he would have had otherwise.

Problem is, the free vanguard zanpakutous are bad, and there are only a few of them, you are better off using Kazeshini, even if you get Shinji.

i use shinji cuz imy zanpukto is hyormaru and i inchant him with 3% heath when he atk so when he use his skill i recaver 25k hp but if i dont have hyorimaru ill not use him

Its the obvious choice, after getting through lv70~90 content, i can clearly say that, you are better off using Komamura, because PvP is not that important at this point, what is important, is the ability to do PvE more effectively.

And the lv70>90 road, isn't that long, and you will be replacing Komamura at 100 with Stark or 110 with Ichigo.

i think komamura is good until 110 or 120 , well at pve i dont use my vang... my formation is like 2 supporters and 3 assaulter...
