Strong Vanguard

Hi guys

Just wondering what your thoughts are in making my vanguard stronger, I find that even with 82% he rarely blocks as the other high vip users are all running lvl 4-5 hit stones..i feel like I cannot get his block high enough to actually make a difference against them

Currently:
block 82%
dodge 5% (I am using lvl7-8 strength stones instead as he is an offensive vanguard)
counter 51%
hit 118.%
crit 43%

ermmm... if u r an offensive vanguard... then maybe u could try goin more counter instead of blocks...
since block doesnt realli help u...

just my tot... i haven use an offensive vanguard b4...

He has full lvl 9 agility stones

he may be an offensive vanguard but I would still like to up his survivability

Block gets nullified by break, so its possible that the people swinging straight through are using high breaks, high level pve mobs (ie Hollow soul, events ect) all have high stats

you need a vanguard that can be offensive you need stark or tosihro for that unless you have one of those dont use offensive vanguard

Hit has nothing to do with Block. Break Defense is what counters block.

Anyways, as an example, on my Toshiro, I run :

6 lvl 8/9 Stamina Stones
6 lvl 7/8 Counter Stones
6 lvl 7/8 Strength Stones
6 lvl 7/8 Agility Stones
6 lvl 8/9 Block Stones
4 lvl 6 Hit Stones
2 lvl 9 Dodge Stones (Dodge is useless high level anyhow)

He does very well, and with my lvl 70 rei, he has a bit over 320k HP, nearly 90% block/counter solid enough speed around 65k speed (My mains speed is 102k) and around 70k Phy Dmg. He does pretty well in PvP and PvE like Trials/Espada. He was the difference in me beating Espada 1 and not beating it (couldn't do it with Starrk)

my toshiro has a similar setup but I have crit instead of dodge...against other high vip he doesn't crit much of course but it helps a lot when I put his gear on an assaulter for pve .

Hit on your vanguard is really crabby, if he is an offensive vanguard, what good does it do when he can't hit smack?
